Benjamin Prosser new 7" released
At the ripe old age of 32 rim artist Benjamin Prosser has a new single coming out on Fitzrovian Phonographic, a new label which is an imprint of the Heavenly Social club, specializing in limited edition 7"s. The a side is a version of 'Killing flaw' (recently used in the movie 'Playing with Piranhas') with his band the Tap Collective whilst the b side is a vocal/guitar recording of 'Below the plough' which he usually performs acapella. The former is a feedback and tremelo drenched caophony like 13th Floor Elevators playing Bo Diddley whilst the latter shows the fragility at the heart of all Benjamin's work, bringing to mind Jandek at his most tuneful (?) or early Sebadoh. The single will be available through Rough Trade Shops. Benjamin played the launch party of the single at the Heavenly Social Club, Little Portland Street London on the 17th Aprill 2006.
